With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eldrich Edgerson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who departed this life on June 10, 2025, at the age of 57. Eldrich passed away peacefully in the hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. His journey began on September 26, 1967, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, born to Lorraine Williamson Edgerson and Elton Edgerson Jr., who instilled in him the values of hard work, resilience, and kindness.
Eldrich was a man who embraced life with an open heart and an adventurous spirit. Growing up in a household filled with love alongside his siblings, Edward, his twin brother Ellis, Jonathan, Bryce, and other cherished family members, Eldrich learned the importance of family bonds early on. Though he is now reunited with them, their memories will forever be cherished.
In a life filled with love and commitment, Eldrich was united in holy matrimony to Charlotte Simmons. Their union was blessed with a son, ElTravon Edgerson, who brought immense joy and pride to Eldrich’s life. Eldrich’s legacy will continue through ElTravon, who carries his father’s spirit and passion for life.
Eldrich's professional journey began alongside his father in Freeport, Louisiana, where he honed his skills and work ethic. His career path led him to Danos offshore company, where he was known for his dedication and expertise. Eventually, he found his true calling as a crane operator at Grand Isle Shipyard, where his colleagues admired him for his unwavering commitment and integrity.
Beyond his career, Eldrich found solace and joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and contentment in the gentle rhythm of casting his line into tranquil waters. Nature was his sanctuary, a place where he connected with the world around him and found time for reflection and relaxation.
Eldrich was predeceased by his loving parents, Lorraine Williamson Edgerson and Elton Edgerson Jr., his cherished siblings Edward, Ellis, Jonathan, and Bryce Edgerson, and numerous other family members who held a special place in his heart. His mother-in-law and father-in-law, Byron and Beverly Simmons, as well as his grandparents and several beloved aunts and uncles, have also welcomed him into their eternal embrace.
Eldrich leaves behind his devoted wife, Charlotte, and his son, ElTravon, who will carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and compassion. Though he did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his impact on those around him was profound and lasting.
Family, friends, and all who knew Eldrich are invited to celebrate his life and bid him farewell at a service on June 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The service will be held at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home, located at 1211 West Vine St. It will be a time to honor Eldrich’s journey, share cherished memories, and find solace in the love and laughter he brought to all who knew him.
Eldrich Edgerson’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the simple joys of being outdoors. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion.
