Elayne Say

March 19, 1935 — June 27, 2026

It is with a profound mixture of sadness and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Elayne Say, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Elayne departed this world peacefully on June 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was 91 years old. Elayne was born on March 19, 1935, in the charming town of Kingsburg, California, to Fred and Iola Warren. Kingsburg would remain Elayne's beloved hometown throughout her life, a place where she cultivated deep roots and lifelong friendships. She was predeceased by her dear husband, Richard Say, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of 52 years. They were wed on September 4, 1953, and together built a family and life filled with love and devotion. A proud graduate of Kingsburg High School in 1953, Elayne's passion for caring for others led her to pursue a nursing degree, which she attained in 1974 from Fresno City College. Her compassionate spirit found expression in her work and in her volunteer efforts at Valley Children's Hospital and Lincoln Elementary, where her presence brought comfort and joy to many. Elayne was a devoted member of Harvest Community Church, where her faith was reflected in her actions and her relationships. Her love for gardening was evident in the vibrant blossoms that adorned her home, and her sewing projects were treasured gifts to family and friends. Above all, Elayne cherished the time spent with her family, who were the center of her world. She is survived by her loving children Michael Say (Cecilia), Janis Breazell (Norman), and Richard Say (Tania). Her legacy also lives on in her brothers, Robert and Wayne Warren, and in her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who numbered eight and thirteen, respectively. Elayne was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Iola Warren, her sister LaDonna, and brother Everett, with whom she now reunites in peace. Elayne's warmth, kindness, and loving nature touched everyone she met. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a nurturing presence, ever ready with a gentle smile and a kind word. She was truly the heart of her family and a beacon of love in her community. A service to celebrate Elayne's life will be held on July 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Kingsburg Cemetery, located at 12782 E Clarkson Ave, Kingsburg, CA. Friends and family are invited to gather and share in the remembrance of a life that blessed us all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Valley Children's Hospital in Elayne's honor, continuing her legacy of care and compassion for others. Elayne Say's presence in our lives was a gift, and her memory will forever be a treasure in our hearts.
