Elaine Renee Sutton

Elaine Renee Sutton, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully went home to be with her heavenly Father on September 26, 2026, at Old Orchard Nursing and Respiratory Center. Born on December 1, 1962, at Maumee Valley Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, Elaine was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who knew her. Elaine was the cherished daughter of the late Twilya Jean Sutton and Reginald Lucas, and the granddaughter of Catherine A. Sutton and O’Tanner Wilson. Her loving spirit and laughter will be deeply missed by her sons, Marcus (Lakresha) Sutton Sr. and Michael White Jr., her brothers, Albert (Annette) and Stevon (Deonna) Sutton, and her sisters, Ulonda (Stacey) Sutton and Catherine (Monty) Sutton-Griffin. She also leaves behind five treasured grandchildren, Mi’Kiyah White, Marcus Sutton Jr., Aniyrah, Ashton, and Michael White III, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and the extended Wiggins family. Elaine was a proud member of the Drummond Libbey High School class of 1981. Her career was spent at Toledo Hospital in the dietary department, where she earned numerous service awards, a testament to her dedication and work ethic. She was a woman of faith, having accepted Christ at an early age at Love Missionary Baptist Church in Swanton, Ohio. Elaine found joy in the simplest pleasures—spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, brought her immense happiness. She delighted in solving word search puzzles, coloring, and listening to music, activities that offered her moments of peace and reflection. Her generous spirit and love for others will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
