Elaine Napoli
March 10, 1948 — April 5, 2026
Elaine Napoli, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at her home in the loving presence of her family. Born on March 10, 1948, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Elaine lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to those around her. She was the cherished daughter of the late Phillip Smith and Margaret Peever Smith and was predeceased by her husband, George Napoli, as well as her brothers, Robert and Leonard Smith.
Elaine was a proud graduate of Lawrence High School and went on to pursue a career as a certified hairdresser. Her talents and dedication were not confined to the salon as she also made significant contributions in the medical records field at Lawrence General Hospital. Her professional life was marked by a dedication to excellence and a warmth that she extended to everyone she encountered.
Elaine's greatest joy was her family, and she devoted her life to them with unwavering love and care. Her son, Alan, was the light of her life, and she found immense pleasure in tending to his needs. Her daughters, Lori Napoli-Lee, with her husband Bob, and Elaine Napoli-Lavoie, with her husband Gilles, were her pride and joy. Elaine's legacy continues through her grandchildren—Ashley and her fiancé Danny Amaral, Devin and her fiancé Shawn Toomey, and Travis Lee—who brought her endless delight. Her life was further enriched by her great-grandchildren, Jayce, Landon, Deklin, and McKenna, who filled her days with laughter and love.
Elaine was a woman of remarkable qualities, known for her kindness and generosity. Her home was always open to those in need, and she had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and cared for. She was a second mother to many of her children's friends, offering them guidance and support. Elaine found tranquility in simple pleasures—watching movies at home, spending time with her beloved cats, and sharing laughter with her family.
A service to celebrate Elaine's beautiful life will be held on April 9, 2026, at Goundry & Dewhirst on Main St, Salem, NH. As we gather to honor her memory, we will remember Elaine as a woman who lived her life with grace, compassion, and an unyielding devotion to her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Elaine's memory to an Alzheimer's charity of your choice, as a tribute to her brave battle with the disease. Elaine’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and she will be dearly missed by all.
