With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ekeoma Amanda Ejeka, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. Ekeoma departed this world on April 24, 2026, at the age of 40, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 3, 1985, in the vibrant city of Houston, she was the cherished daughter of Onyeoma Dozie and Nkechi Moses. Ekeoma was a beacon of kindness whose presence left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her. Her gentle spirit and compassionate nature were evident to everyone she encountered. Though her time with us was far too brief, her impact was profound and will be remembered with warmth and gratitude. She pursued her education at the University of Houston, where she studied psychology, a field that truly resonated with her desire to understand and support those around her. While she did not pursue a formal career, Ekeoma found fulfillment in living a life of exploration and creativity. Her love for traveling took her to many corners of the world, where she delighted in discovering new cultures and cuisines. Ekeoma was a culinary enthusiast, and her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of her latest culinary creations. She found joy in preparing meals for her family and friends, using food as a way to express her love and care. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and cleanliness, a testament to her passion for creating a welcoming environment. Family meant everything to Ekeoma, and she mourned the loss of her dear siblings, Uchenna and Emeka Ejeka, who predeceased her. Though she did not have children of her own, she was a nurturing figure to many, offering guidance and support with an open heart. Ekeoma's legacy is one of kindness and love, a reminder of the beauty of living a life dedicated to caring for others. As we gather to celebrate her life, we are reminded of her gentle strength and the light she brought into our lives. A memorial service to honor Ekeoma’s life will be held on June 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM. While the family has chosen not to include a special message, they extend their deepest gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. Ekeoma Amanda Ejeka will be dearly missed but never forgotten, as she lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love that she so generously gave to others.
