Eileen Mae Wisniewski Bokol

June 15, 1936 — May 19, 2026

Eileen Mae Wisniewski Bokol, a cherished mother, devoted grandmother, and beloved friend to many, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Born on June 15, 1935, in Erie, PA, Eileen was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known her. Eileen was the beloved daughter of Eve and Stanley Wisniewski, who instilled in her the values of faith, family, and community. She grew up in Erie, where she met the love of her life, George Joseph Bokol. The two were married on June 9, 1956, and shared 52 wonderful years together until George's passing. Their marriage was a testament to love and partnership, and together they built a family that Eileen cherished above all else. Eileen's family was her greatest joy and accomplishment. She is survived by her loving children, Timothy (Cindy) Bokol, Daniel (Erika) Bokol, and Tammy (Patrick) Young, who were the center of her world. Her six adored grandchildren, Keane Bokol, Jordan Young, Nathan (Braelyne) Bokol, Ryan Young, Aaron Bokol, and Kyle Young, were the lights of her life, each carrying a piece of her heart. Eileen also leaves behind several cousins and great-nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember her generosity and humor. Eileen's professional career began at General Electric as an administrative assistant. However, her true calling was being a devoted wife and mother. She later worked in the attendance office at Iroquois High School, a role that allowed her to be present for her children during their formative years. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, and she was revered by her children for her selflessness and dedication. A devout Catholic, Eileen was a lifelong member of The Church of St. Mark's the Evangelist and later St. James Roman Catholic Church in Erie, PA. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she was known for her compassionate spirit and willingness to help others. Eileen was active in her community, enjoying hobbies such as ceramics, needlepoint, and bowling, and participating in a dinner club with dear friends. Her quick wit and sense of humor endeared her to all who met her, and her loyal nature made her a treasured friend and neighbor. In 2020, Eileen moved to Boca Raton, FL, but her heart remained in Erie, where she will be laid to rest. A memorial service to celebrate Eileen's life will be held on October 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. James Roman Catholic Church, located at 2635 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA 16510. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the remarkable life of a woman who touched so many with her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love. Eileen Mae Wisniewski Bokol's legacy of love and faith will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit remains a comforting presence in the lives of her family and friends. As we say goodbye to Eileen, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with grace, humor, and an enduring love for family and faith.
