Celebrating the Life of Eileen Keenan Eileen Keenan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on September 9, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on May 9, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, Eileen was a beacon of warmth and kindness whose presence was a cherished gift to all who knew her. Eileen was the devoted wife of the late John G. Keenan, with whom she shared a love that was both deep and enduring. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Eileen is survived by her five children: John D. Keenan, Christine Tenaglia, Denise Pol, Susan Curry, and James M. Keenan. Her legacy is further carried by her 11 adoring grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Bryan Pol, Timothy Tenaglia, Ryan Curry, Michael Tenaglia, Shannon Conway, Lauren Curry, Thomas Tenaglia, Michael Pol, Daniel Keenan, and James Keenan. Eileen dedicated 30 years of her professional life as an Executive Assistant at the Sachem Public Library. She was a cornerstone in the library community, touching countless lives with her dedication and passion for knowledge. A service to honor and celebrate Eileen's life will be held on September 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forrester's Funeral Home, located at 998 Portion Road, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. A burial service at Calverton National Cemetery to follow. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life well-lived.
