Eileen J. Glick

Eileen J. Glick, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, leaving a legacy of love and laughter that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew her. Born on April 12, 1933, in Washington, DC, Eileen was the daughter of Emma Farmer. Her journey through life was marked by resilience, warmth, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community. Eileen was predeceased by her devoted husband, Raymond A. Glick Jr., her brother, Alvin Farmer, and her daughter, Donna Ireland. However, her legacy continues through her surviving children, Cecelia Flanagan of EHT, Robert Widerker (Carol) of Mays Landing, Raymond Glick (Liliana) of Galloway, Rick Glick (Linda) of Petersburg, Gary Glick (Debra) of EHT, and Debra Wendt (Tim) of Ocala, FL. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom cherished her deeply. Eileen and Raymond shared a beautiful life together, raising seven children with love and dedication. A graduate of "The School of Hard Knocks" in Atlantic City's Inlet, Eileen's life was a testament to hard work and determination. She dedicated many years to Wheaton Plastics, where she worked from 1961 until her retirement in 1998, proudly serving as a union shop steward for much of her career. Eileen's passions were as vibrant as her personality. She adored hosting barbecues and holiday dinners, creating cherished memories for her family, especially during Christmas with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known for her love of playing Bingo and the slots at the casino, Eileen brought joy wherever she went. She found solace in sewing and reading horoscopes, and her talent as a "frustrated beautician" led her to become the unofficial hairstylist for family and friends. Eileen's warmth and kindness made her the life of any gathering. Her ability to start conversations with complete strangers and make them feel like family was a testament to her generous spirit. She had an uncanny knack for finding the silver lining in any situation and was a natural counselor, providing comfort and guidance to many during difficult times. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Eileen's caregivers, especially Tonya, Ada, and Veronica, as well as Ascend Hospice, Nurse Tracey, and Nurse Melonie, for their compassionate care. In honor of Eileen's memory, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice benefiting Alzheimers and Dementia research.
