Edwin Roy Casanas

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edwin Roy Casanas, who left this world on June 5, 2026, after a courageous battle. Born on June 15, 1943, in the vibrant land of Puerto Rico, Edwin was the beloved son of the late Juan and Dora Casanas. He shared his journey with his cherished siblings, John Casanas and Olga Rodriguez Edwin's life was graced with the joy of his daughter, Tanya Casanas. His legacy of love and wisdom continues to live on in her and their family. Edwin's heart swelled with pride for his five grandchildren—Shayla, Jasmine, Cheyenne, Tasha, and Jamari—and his six great-grandchildren—Shontez, Kadien, Kasien ,Treasure, Layla, and Gianni. Edwin's extended family includes a host of nieces and nephews—Diana, Raymond, Olga, Yvonne, Nicole, Paul, Jason, Ibelle, and Rosalinda—each of whom held a special place in his heart. Throughout his life, Edwin was a man of many passions. A lover of reading, he found solace and adventure within the pages of countless books. His love for music brought rhythm and harmony to his days, while his enthusiasm for sports, especially as an avid Yankees fan, filled his life with excitement and camaraderie. Edwin's legacy will be celebrated at a Funeral service on June 12, 2026, at 12:30 PM, at the Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, NJ. As we gather to honor his life, we remember Edwin His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
