A proud graduate of Chicago Heights, he carried his education with him as a foundation for a life filled with passion and laughter. He was a man who truly knew how to live, delighting in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was fixing cars, a skill and hobby that brought him great satisfaction, or unwinding to the tunes of his favorite country and rock music with a glass of whiskey in hand, Edwin embraced every moment with a smile. Those who knew Edwin will remember his infectious sense of humor and his ability to bring laughter into any room with his jokes and silliness. His spirit was one that brightened the lives of those around him, and his legacy will continue to shine through the memories shared by his loved ones. Though his marriage to Jennifer Ortiz lasted 20 years, and they eventually parted ways, Edwin remained a devoted family man. He leaves behind a loving family, including his children: Peter Rosa, John Rosa, Samantha Rodriguez, Julio Rodriguez, and Alison Rosa. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Jose Rosa and Jasmine Rivera, whose memories he cherished deeply. In honoring Edwin’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life.
