It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Miller, who peacefully departed this life on January 29, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on July 23, 1948, in Lake City, Florida, Edward's life was a testament to love, dedication, and service—both to his family and his faith. Edward was the cherished son of the late George and Ruby Miller and grew up with his sister, Susan Crawford, who predeceased him. From a young age, Edward was known for his gentle spirit and unwavering kindness, qualities that would define his life and the relationships he nurtured throughout his years. In 1972, Edward married the love of his life, Alice Miller. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and devotion. Their union, spanning an inspiring 53 years, was a beacon of commitment and companionship, enriched by the three wonderful children they raised: Sarah (Christopher) Elwood, Daniel (Heather) Miller, and Amanda Miller. Edward's legacy continues to flourish through his six beloved grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride for him. Edward was an active Christian, dedicating much of his life to serving both his church and his family. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's challenges and celebrations with grace and humility. Those who knew him remember his steadfast belief and the comforting wisdom he imparted to all who sought his counsel. An avid fisherman, Edward found solace and joy in the quiet moments spent by the water, casting his line into the serene embrace of nature. It was in these moments that he felt closest to God, surrounded by the beauty of creation and the peace it brought to his soul. Edward's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, where family and close friends will gather to honor the profound impact he had on their lives. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. In this time of mourning, we find comfort in the knowledge that Edward now resides in the loving arms of his Creator, reunited with his parents and sister.
