Edward Lee Dobson

Edward Lee Dobson, passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 79, due to respiratory failure. Born on May 30, 1947, in the charming town of Richmond, West Virginia, Edward was the beloved son of Verlyn and Doris Dobson. Edward spent much of his career working on the water. He was especially proud of his time serving in the United States Navy and enjoyed sharing stories about his adventures and experiences with family and friends. Edward had a personality and an imagination larger than life. He never met a stranger and was known for his unique sense of humor. He loved telling stories and entertaining those around him by playing his harmonica and occasionally even his grandpas squeeze box. Edward was proceeded in death by his father and mother, Verlyn and Doris Dobson; two brothers Verlyn and Gerald Dobson. Edward is survived by his sister, Doralene Lewis: four children that includes three daughters and one son, many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as countless nieces and nephews. Edward will be remembered with love by his family and friends, and his laughter stories and music will continue to bring smiles to those who knew him.
