Edward Lee Cantu, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on September 9, 1963, in Brownsville, Edward was a cherished member of the community whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Edward was the son of Eugenio Cantu and grew up in a family that valued love and togetherness. He was predeceased by his dear family members Alfonso Cantu and Evan Cantu, who are now reunited with him in peace. Edward's legacy lives on through his surviving children: Edward Cantu, Jeremy Cantu, Joseph Cantu, and Christian Cantu. He was a proud father who dedicated his life to providing love, guidance, and support to his children. His family was his pride and joy, and he always sought to instill in them the same values he held dear. In 1986 and 1988, Edward welcomed his first two children with Maria Conde, followed by another in 1997, and his youngest in 2000. Later, in 2008, he expanded his family further with Cecilia Rangel. Edward was also blessed with the joy of being a grandfather to one grandchild, with whom he shared countless precious moments that will be cherished forever. Edward's life will be celebrated on September 3, 2026, at 8:00 AM at the Trevino Funeral Home, located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521, United States.
