December 11, 1952 — February 26, 2026

Edward J. Langood Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, at the age of 73. He was surrounded by the warmth and love of his family at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake, OH, following a brief illness. Born on December 11, 1952, in the vibrant city of Cleveland, OH, Edward was the beloved son of Edward Sr. and Bernadette Langood, who preceded him in death. Raised with values of integrity and kindness, Edward carried these qualities throughout his life, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Edward proudly served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie that remained with him throughout his life. After his honorable service, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a service operator with Ink Jet Inc., dedicating many years to his work until his well-earned retirement in 2018. On October 28, 1987, Edward married the love of his life, Denise King, in a union marked by deep affection and unwavering partnership. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family, raising two wonderful daughters, Jeanette Buxa and Lisa Langood, who were the pride and joy of Edward's life. His profound love and commitment to his family were evident in every aspect of his being. Edward's life was enriched by his cherished relationships with his siblings, Virginia Langood and Rose Mary Scarga, and his treasured granddaughter, Angelina, who brought immeasurable joy to his days. He also leaves behind his devoted nephew, Adam, whose bond with Edward was both special and enduring. A man of simple pleasures, Edward found great joy in the game of golf, spending many a Wednesday on the greens, perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of friends. He was an ardent fan of the Cleveland Browns, his unwavering support for the team a testament to his loyalty and passion. Edward's legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and love. His warm smile and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him, and his absence will be profoundly felt. Yet, his memory will continue to inspire those he leaves behind, reminding them of the power of love, resilience, and the importance of cherishing every moment. A private memorial service will be held to honor Edward's life and celebrate the remarkable journey he shared with us. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Ames Family Hospice in Westlake, OH, in gratitude for the compassionate care Edward received. Edward J. Langood Jr.'s life was a testament to the beauty of a well-lived existence, and his legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so generously shared with the world.
