June 28, 1960 — July 27, 2026

Edward F. Brooks, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 27, 2026. Born on June 28, 1960, in Fairfield, California, Ed's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty to those he held dear. Ed was the beloved son of Conard J. Brooks and Anita S. (Brown) Brooks, both of whom predeceased him, along with his brother, Michael Brooks. He is survived by his devoted sisters, Noreen and Terry Cox of Walbridge, Ohio, as well as Tracy, Danette, and Susan, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. An ardent sports enthusiast, Ed's passion for the Minnesota Vikings was well-known among his friends and family. He was a true sports fan, and his extensive collection of sports cards and memorabilia was more than just a hobby; it was a testament to his love for the game and his keen eye for history. Ed's kindness and generosity were the hallmarks of his character. He possessed a warm and gentle nature that endeared him to all who knew him. Whether lending a helping hand or offering a listening ear, Ed's presence was a comforting constant in the lives of those around him. In honor of Ed's love for animals and his caring spirit, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to the Toledo Area Humane Society in Maumee, Ohio. As we celebrate the life of Edward F. Brooks, we hold close the words shared by his family: "The pain of your loss is heavy, but the joy of knowing you was a blessing I will never forget." May his memory continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know him.
