In Loving Memory of Edward Ernest Jackson III
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Ernest Jackson III, a cherished soul who departed this world on December 31, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on September 3, 1985, in Ogden, Utah, Edward was a beacon of light to all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many with his infectious smile and boundless compassion.
Edward was the beloved son of Edward Jackson Jr., Ronda Croston, and RT Croston. He was predeceased by his brothers Jeremy, Luke, and Tyeler, and his grandparents Robert and Vonda Cooper, and Evangeline and Edward Jackson Sr. Edward's legacy of love is carried forward by his devoted partner, Eddie, whose recent presence in his life brought him immense joy and a deep connection.
Edward was a guiding force in the lives of his siblings—brothers Luke, Kristian, Chyenne, Kevin, and sisters Diana, Michelle, Kylie, and Joy. His pride and joy, his son David "Joey," was a testament to Edward's loving and nurturing spirit. He also leaves behind cherished nephews Nicholas, Tori, and Dayton, along with a multitude of cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends who became family through the strength of his unconditional love.
Edward's educational journey was a testament to his determination and thirst for knowledge. A proud graduate of Tularosa High School, he went on to homeschool himself to graduate six months early. His career was marked by continuous learning; he was educated as an EMT, pharmacy technician, massage therapist, and a teacher for K-8. Most recently, he embarked on the path to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, driven by his passion to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
For 20 years, Edward served in an executive role, where his leadership was characterized by empathy and a genuine concern for others. He was the kind of boss everyone aspired to have, always striving to be the mentor he had once needed. Edward's commitment to his community extended beyond his professional life as he volunteered at local animal shelters, frequently donated blood and platelets with the Red Cross, served as an election judge, and worked alongside the regional police academy to improve mental health crisis response.
Edward's zest for life was evident in his adventurous spirit. He found joy in traveling, photography, and writing, and his love for the outdoors took him skydiving, bungee jumping, whitewater rafting, and hiking. He was a collector of rock and mineral specimens, a nature nerd who found beauty in every waterfall he chased. An enthusiast of amusement parks and roller coasters, Edward's laughter was a constant presence, accentuated by his quick wit and repertoire of dad jokes.
With a heart as immense as his love, Edward embraced everyone he met with acceptance and warmth. He was a hopeless romantic who loved deeply, and his beautiful smile lit up every room he entered.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Edward's life, and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Missouri First Responder Provider Network at https://mofrpn.org/donate/.
As we celebrate Edward's extraordinary life, we hold dear a special message from his family: "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded" - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Edward Ernest Jackson III will forever be remembered as a real-life Superman with a heart of gold, whose life was a testament to the power of kindness and love. His spirit will continue to inspire us all.
