Edna Robinson, a cherished soul, passed away peacefully in her sleep from natural causes on April 2, 2026. Born on November 5, 1959, in California, she spent her life spreading warmth and kindness to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Edna was the beloved daughter of Mary and James Robinson, who predeceased her along with her grandparents and aunt. She carried their legacy forward with grace and strength. She is survived by her devoted children, Marie, Charles, Simone, and Georgia, and her seven treasured grandchildren: Charles Jr., Journee, Cory, Major, Levi, and King. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was also blessed with two great-grandchildren who brought her immense happiness.
On June 22, 1994, Edna married the love of her life, Luther James, in California. Together, they created a loving home and shared 32 beautiful years, raising their four children and nurturing a family that thrived under their care and guidance.
Edna's educational journey began at West Campus High School, where she graduated in 1977. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue an associate's degree in nursing, which she earned in 1981. For 35 years, Edna dedicated herself to the nursing profession, retiring at the age of 55. Her compassion and unwavering commitment to her patients left an indelible mark on those she cared for.
Beyond her professional life, Edna found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an active member of a Bible study group, where she found fellowship and spirituality. In her free time, she delighted in knitting, playing card games, and baking, often sharing her creations with family and friends. Her warm, comforting hugs and infectious laughter were hallmarks of her kind and generous spirit.
Edna's commitment to her community was unwavering, and she gave selflessly to those in need. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Edna's life will be held on May 2, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Anglican Church, located at 1565 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and to honor the memory of a remarkable woman.
