Edmund, affectionately known as "Ed" or simply "Dad" to those closest to him, left this world peacefully at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, at the age of 69. Born on March 1, 1957, in Brooklyn, NY, Edmund was the cherished son of the late Edmund and Marion Cieslak. He is predeceased by his youngest brother, Stephen Cieslak. Edmund is survived by his loving children Erika (Nathan), Edmund John, and Alexander (Jessica), his devoted partner Sandy, and his three adored grandchildren, Emerson, Alexandra, and Madelyn. He also leaves behind his siblings, William Cieslak and Laurie Stevenson, his forever friend Tricia Cieslak, multiple nieces, nephews, extended family, and his trusty sidekick, Cali the cat. Edmund dedicated over two decades of his professional life as a Marketing Manager at Land Rover Southampton, where his passion for the automotive industry shone brightly. Even after retiring in 2018, his love for cars kept him engaged, working part-time for Hertz until his illness. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Edmund was a man of simple pleasures and profound passions. He found joy in the rhythm of the ocean waves and cherished days spent at the seaside, where he would suntan in his beach chair, sipping on scalding hot black coffee. Edmund's heart was at home among the south shore jetties, where he engaged in catch-and-release fishing. His love for music was unparalleled, and he was an immensely talented, incredibly humble musician. His inspirations spanned from The Beatles and Electric Light Orchestra to Coldplay and Lana Del Ray, reflecting his soul's genuine and diverse appreciation for the art. Those who knew Edmund recognized his gentle spirit and unwavering kindness. He saw beauty where others might not, taking responsibility for the smallest of creatures and ensuring their safety with tenderness. His explosive kindness turned mundane interactions into joyous experiences, reminding us all of the importance of not taking life too seriously, even in challenging times. Edmund was the embodiment of youthful exuberance, with a soul that never aged. His storytelling was legendary, a one-man show complete with sound effects, captivating all who listened. His piercing blue eyes never lost their sparkle, defying the grasp of illness and reflecting his effervescent spirit. A devoted father and friend, Edmund was always there for his loved ones, often arriving early with a smile and a warm seat, ready to lend a helping hand. His children, who utterly adored him, were steadfastly by his side throughout his journey, their hearts now aching with his absence. Edmund's legacy lives on in his children, who carry forward his talent, mannerisms, and impeccable taste in music, forever etched into their hearts.
