Edith Marie Stanley, affectionately known as Edie, passed away peacefully at her home on September 3, 2026, with her beloved daughters by her side. Born on February 13, 1939, in Marcus, Iowa, Edie was the cherished daughter of Ben and Edith Olson. Her life was a beautiful testament to love, resilience, and a zest for life that touched everyone she met. Edie's journey through life was marked by her enduring love for her family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Richard R. Stanley, and her beloved son, Peter A. Enneking. Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters, Catherine A. Hikade and her husband Fred, and Karen M. Enneking-Geheb and her husband Gordon. Her legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Karyn Koos, Kristine Miller and her husband Quest, Kyle Koos, Karlene Martinez and her husband Joey, Ryan Geheb, and Julia Geheb, as well as her precious great-grandchildren, Willow Martinez, Maeve Miller, and Quinn Miller. Edie was not only a loving mother but also a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Known as the "puzzle lady" at her retirement apartment, she was celebrated for her love of puzzles, which brought her joy and a sense of community. Her extensive collection of giraffes symbolized her playful and spirited nature—a testament to her unique personality. Described by those who knew her as both feisty and lovable, Edie had a remarkable ability to bring warmth and laughter into the lives of those around her. Her vibrant spirit and loving heart left an indelible mark on her family and friends. In honor of Edie's life, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, an organization that was dear to her heart.
