Eden Yoyo

September 20, 2003 — August 9, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eden Yoyo, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left this world unexpectedly on August 9, 2026. Eden was born on September 20, 2003, in Bujumbura, Burundi, to his loving parents, Zainabu Furaha and Sendet Seremba. His life, though tragically cut short, was filled with moments of joy, service, and love. Eden's journey began in Bujumbura, where he spent his early years surrounded by the vibrant culture and community of his birthplace. He later moved to the United States, where he graduated from Paetow High School in 2023. With a strong sense of duty and patriotism, Eden enlisted in the U.S. military in 2024, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to serving his adopted country. Throughout his life, Eden was known for his adventurous spirit and zest for life. He was an avid fan of American football, and he found great joy in fishing and bike racing—activities that allowed him to connect with nature and find peace in his surroundings. Eden's love for these hobbies was matched only by the love he had for his family and friends. Eden is survived by his devoted parents, Zainabu Furaha and Sendet Seremba, as well as his cherished siblings, Detty Adouba, Sandra Betoula, Wany Lema, Amida Zigashane, Issa Magi, and Chris Moka. He will be remembered not only for his dedication to his family and friends but also for his vibrant personality and kind heart. Eden's career path included working in various companies, where he was known for his strong work ethic and ability to bring people together. His colleagues and friends remember him as a beacon of positivity, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. In honor of Eden's life and legacy, his family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. This gesture reflects Eden's generous spirit and his desire to make a positive impact in the world. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Houston Congolese Association, IMPG Church, and all the friends who have offered their support during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion have been a source of comfort and strength. Eden Yoyo will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of courage, love, and resilience that will continue to inspire us all. May he rest in eternal peace.
