Eddie Rivers Jr.

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of Eddie Rivers Jr, who gracefully gained his wings on June 26, 2026. Born in Mobile, Alabama, on March 26, 1964, Eddie brought light and joy to all who knew him throughout his 62 years of life. Eddie was the oldest son of the late Eddie Rivers Sr. and Georgia Anna Burroughs Rivers, who instilled in him values of GOD, kindness, and love. He was predeceased by his dear brother, Henry Paige, and beloved sister, Brenda Paige Fitts. He is survived by his only son, Eddie Rivers III, who was the pride and joy of his life, His brother James Rivers, four sisters, Rosie Bryant, Gloria (Dwight) Hudson, Patricia Hunt, and Angela Rivers. Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved friend, Elsie Davis. Eddie will be greatly missed by his nephews Sherman, Shauntaun, DeSaavre, Jerome and Twuane. His devoted nieces Angel, Trennese, Sonya, Brandy, Georgia and Angela (Miss A). Eddie leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. A proud graduate of Vigor High School and SD Bishop State Community College, Eddie was a man of many talents and interests. He found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking meals for his family, casting a line on a calm fishing day, and sharing laughter and stories at family gatherings. Known for his vibrant spirit, Eddie was truly the life of the party, effortlessly making everyone who crossed his path laugh and feel welcomed. We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Eddie’s remarkable life on July 11, 2026. Following the service a repast will be held at 950 Wellington St. Mobile, AL. It will be a time to honor the wonderful man who touched so many lives with his warmth and generosity.
