Eddie Ray Brown
August 23, 1957 — February 28, 2026
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Eddie Ray Brown, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Eddie peacefully departed this world on February 28, 2026, at the age of 68, in the comfort of his home due to Congestive Heart Failure. Born on August 23, 1957, in Modesto, California, Eddie's journey through life was marked by warmth, laughter, and a spirit that welcomed all.
Eddie was the son of Ray Brown of Strathmore, California, and Wilma Walls of Rufe, Oklahoma. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Wilma Walls and his sisters, Judy Winters of Modesto, California, and Vickie Brown of Valliant, Oklahoma.
Eddie is survived by his devoted siblings, Dena Pimentel of California, Kim Lanier of Texarkana, and Karen Brown of Millerton, Oklahoma. His legacy of love and laughter continues through his six nieces and nephews, and his three great-nieces and three great-nephews, who will forever hold their "Uncle Eddie" close in their hearts.
In his professional life, Eddie graced the restaurant business with his dedication and passion, making patrons feel at home with his infectious smile and warm demeanor. Outside of work, Eddie found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid fisherman, he never missed an opportunity to grab his fishing pole and spend a day by the water, whether in the company of good friends or alone in quiet reflection. His green thumb was evident in the bountiful garden he lovingly tended, often sharing the fruits of his labor, like his prized squash, with family and friends.
Eddie was known for his distinctive deep chuckle that could light up a room. His curly hair and striking blue eyes were as unforgettable as his genuine kindness and generosity. He had a remarkable ability to turn strangers into friends, and his warm spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
To honor Eddie's life, a service will be held on March 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Valliant Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched so many lives.
Eddie will be forever in our hearts, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him. His family extends their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. May we all strive to live with the same kindness, generosity, and joy that Eddie shared with the world.
