Born on March 5, 1964, in Columbia, Eddie was a beloved son of Don and Judy Ellisor, who instilled in him the values of kindness, integrity, and dedication that would shape his life and the lives of those around him. Eddie's journey began in Columbia, where he was raised in a loving home alongside his sisters, Melody Hall (Chris) and Janis Lewis (Tom), with whom he shared countless cherished memories. A proud graduate of LHS Class of 1982, Eddie furthered his education at Midlands Technical College, earning an Associate's Degree in Information Technology, a field in which he excelled and made significant contributions throughout his career. Eddie's professional journey led him to roles at the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles and later at the South Carolina State House. Known for his unwavering work ethic and a genuine passion for helping others, Eddie built a career marked by excellence and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues and the community alike. In the tapestry of Eddie's life, the threads of family were woven most prominently. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Alison, and a loving father to his children, Mollie Engram (Ellis), Bailey Huffstetler (Taylor), and Aubrey Hicks (Kayden). Eddie also embraced his role as a stepfather to Zack Jones (Nicole) and Rachel Jones, nurturing them with the same boundless love and wisdom. His legacy continues through his seven treasured grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. Eddie's warmth and generosity extended beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who were fortunate to know him. His laughter, guidance, and kindness will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to share in his journey. A service celebrating Eddie's life will be held on July 11, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all whose lives Eddie touched are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of the remarkable person he was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Eddie's memory, a fitting tribute to a man who lived his life in service to others. While Eddie Ellisor may have departed from this world, his spirit and the love he shared remain in the hearts of all who knew him. As we say goodbye, we remember a life filled with love, laughter, and an indelible legacy that will echo through generations.
