Tribute from the Family
Daughter: We miss you daddy. My dad was a loving and kind man, he always put God and family first. He was always there for us when we needed him. He was the Patriarch of our family and always so proud of his children and grandchildren. He would brag about our accomplishments to anyone that would listen. He was a true man of Faith. Son in Law: From the moment I became a part of this family, he welcomed me with a specific trait. What I will remember the most will be the Domino games, the loud knock’s on the table and I messed around and got a nickname, Woody. He also stressed that God and family are important. I say thank you Pop, you will always be remembered, loved and most of all never be forgotten. Brother: You were my oldest brother, my friend. I will miss your phone calls and laughs. We had many talks about our childhood and how blessed we were to have good parents with strong beliefs in God. How our dad taught us how to be men of God. I’m simply going mess the wonderful memories we shared. Love you always, Tee boo Grandchildren: We gather to honor and remember a man whose life was defined by service, strength, and quiet devotion — a proud veteran of the United States Navy, a beloved grandfather, and a steady presence in the lives of all who knew him. But beyond his military service, he was the heart of his family. To his grandchildren, he was a storyteller, a protector, a teacher, and a source of wisdom. He taught through example: work hard, keep your word, respect others, and never give up when life becomes difficult. His presence brought comfort, his humor brought light, and his love was unwavering. Though we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well lived — one marked by sacrifice, honor, and deep love. May we carry forward his strength, his kindness, and his enduring spirit. Fair winds and following seas, Grandfather. Your watch is complete, but your memory will remain with us always.
