It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Edward "Ed" Timmerman on June 30, 2026. Ed left this world surrounded by his beloved family, after valiantly facing a long illness with grace and courage. He was born on February 14, 1955, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to Donald and Veronica Timmerman, who predeceased him. Ed was a man of great kindness, known for his warm smile and generous spirit. He was a dedicated husband to Lisa (nee Douglas), with whom he shared a loving marriage filled with cherished memories and unwavering companionship. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and mutual respect. Ed attended Lincoln High School in his home town where he excelled in wrestling and held a a long standing distance running record in track and field. As a contract worker, he contributed his skills to several construction companies, a role that took him to various places, including the beautiful British Virgin Islands. His career was marked by diligence and a commitment to excellence, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Ed had a passion for vegetable gardening and woodworking. These hobbies were a source of joy and relaxation for him, allowing him to express his creativity and connect with nature. Ed's garden was a testament to his nurturing spirit, and his handcrafted woodworks were treasures that will be cherished by family and friends for years to come. Ed's life was enriched by his large and loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa, and siblings Ann, Sandra, Marjorie, Daniel, Joan, James, John, Joseph, and Mary Beth. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he in theirs. Ed's family was his greatest pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent in their company. Ed's legacy is one of kindness, hard work, and an unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a man who would always step up to assist with difficult tasks, offering support and friendship to all who knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held to honor his life and memory on Tuesday August 18, 2026 at 1 pm at the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1110 1st North Wisconsin Rapid, Wisconsin. Burial will be held following Mass at RestLawn Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to pay tribute to Ed are encouraged to make a donation to a charity of their choice, reflecting the generous and giving spirit that Ed embodied throughout his life. Ed Timmerman will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved beyond measure.
