In Loving Memory
Edward Ginn
July 19, 1936 — March 3, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Ed, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who peacefully drifted into eternal rest on March 3, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on July 19, 1936, in Atlanta, Georgia, Ed was a beacon of warmth and generosity throughout his life, touching the lives of all who knew him.
Ed was a man of passion and dedication, known for his love of the great outdoors and the tranquility he found in fishing. Whether casting a line into a serene lake or sharing stories of the ones that got away, Ed found joy and solace in nature, and he was never happier than when he was on the water. This love for fishing was a thread that wove together many of his relationships, teaching his children and grandchildren the patience and peace that comes with the sport.
Ed's life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the power of love. Predeceased by his parents, a cherished daughter, and his sister, he leaves behind a legacy of resilience and compassion. His devoted wife, Sharon, with whom he shared over 30 years of marriage, was his partner in all things. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, a true testament to their unwavering commitment to one another.
He is survived by his loving children, sons Michael and Richard, and daughter Laura, who will carry forward their father's legacy of kindness and integrity. He was the proud grandfather to five grandchildren and a great-grandchild, each the apple of his eye. Ed's love and pride for his family were unmatched, and his stories, wisdom, and humor will forever be cherished.
A service to honor Ed’s remarkable life will be held on March 11, 2026, at the Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home, located at 1010 Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32901. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Ed’s life and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ed's memory to the Salvation Army, an organization close to his heart.
As we say goodbye to Ed, we remember a life well-lived, a man who left the world a better place through his kindness and generosity. His spirit will forever remain with us, guiding us like the gentle ripples of a serene lake, as we navigate the waters of our own lives. Rest in peace, dear Ed, knowing you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
