Earl Francis, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on September 30, 1940, in Ellenwood, Georgia, Earl was a beacon of love and strength to all who knew him. He was the cherished son of Susie Taylor Francis and Tony Francis, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion that he carried throughout his life. Earl was predeceased by his devoted wife, Thelma Francis, who was his steadfast partner and confidante. Together, they created a warm and loving home where they nurtured their children and welcomed friends and family with open arms. Earl was also preceded in death by his parents, Susie and Tony Francis, and his siblings, Joyce, Larry, Douglas, and Tony, as well as his two sons, Zachary and Dennis. Earl is survived by his daughter, Monica Francis McLaughlin, and his precious grandchildren, Naakayla Rivers, Naashon Rivers, Naaquan Rivers, and Naasiem Rivers. He was blessed with the joy of two great-grandchildren, whose laughter and innocence brought him immense happiness and pride. Throughout his life, Earl was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and community. He possessed a gentle spirit and an infectious smile that could light up any room. Earl's strength was matched only by his kindness, as he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Earl's remarkable life on July 6, 2026, at 3:30 PM at the Gregory B Levett & Sons Funeral Home. It will be a time to honor his memory, share stories, and offer comfort to one another. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Earl's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong commitment to giving back to the community.
