October 9, 1928 — October 11, 2026

E. Frank Massaro, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 11, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on October 9, 1928, in Santo Stefano Quisquina AG, Sicily, Italy, Frank was the cherished son of Ignazio Massaro and Maria Palermo, both of whom have predeceased him. Frank's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love. He immigrated to the United States, where he built a beautiful life and family. On September 17, 1968, he married the love of his life, Rita Massaro, in Bronx, NY. Together, they shared 58 joyful years, raising two wonderful daughters, Gabriella Massaro and Leonora Kubinski. Frank and Rita found immense joy in their role as grandparents to Anthony Kubinski and Zachary Kubinski, with whom they shared countless cherished memories and laughter. For 40 years, Frank was a respected restaurant owner, a profession that allowed him to share his passion for cooking and hospitality with the community. After retiring in 1998, he dedicated his time to his other great loves: tending his vegetable garden and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, and his culinary skills were unparalleled. Frank was also a man of faith, an active parishioner of St. Edward's Church in New Fairfield, CT, before retiring to Arizona, where he continued his spiritual journey at Santa Catalina Church. His faith provided him with strength and comfort throughout his life. Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Rita Massaro, his daughters Gabriella and Leonora, his grandsons Anthony and Zachary, and his siblings Lia, Teresa, Fernando, Anna, Pino, Celeste and Attilio. He is predeceased by his parents Ignazio and Maria, and siblings Domenico, Pietro, Gina, and Maria. A service to honor and celebrate Frank's life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 11:00 am at Santa Catalina Church, located at 14380 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85739. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Frank's generous spirit and commitment to helping others. The Massaro family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Aspen Care Home and Casa de La Luz for their compassionate care and support during Frank's final days. Frank Massaro will be remembered for his warm smile, generous heart, and the legacy of love he leaves behind. His life was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will forever be cherished.
