Born on December 15, 1959, in Waynesville, Georgia, Dwight was the beloved son of the late Dwitt and Mary L. Pinkney. Dwight was a man who wore many hats throughout his life, and in each role, he left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. Known for his quick wit and humor, he had a remarkable gift for enlivening a room with his jokes and laughter. Yet, beneath the jovial exterior was a man of unwavering principles, a steadfast spirit who stood firm on matters close to his heart.
Raised in a loving household, Dwight cherished the bonds of family. Predeceased by his parents and his brothers Roy Lee, Alvin, and Jerome, he carried their memories with him throughout his life. To his surviving siblings, Debra Williams, James Pinkney, and Linda Hamilton, Dwight was a cherished brother, offering support and love in abundance.
The legacy of Dwight's love and strength lives on through his children: Dwight L. Pinkney Jr. and Dwayne A. Pinkney of Maryland, Bashon Morris of Pennsylvania, Diamond Morris of Georgia, and Siheam Morris of New Jersey. His nurturing spirit and humor have also been passed down to his grandchildren, Tyshawn, Zayd, Zarin, and Jaxon, who brought him immense joy and pride.
