It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dustin Shawn Beebe, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Dustin left this world unexpectedly on May 21, 2026, just days shy of his 40th birthday. He was at home in Waterloo, IA, surrounded by his cherished dog, Charlie, and his "Ray of Sunshine," Bree. Born on May 26, 1986, in Waterloo, IA, to Dan and Karie (Slaver) Beebe, Dustin was a beacon of creativity, joy, and kindness. A proud graduate of Union High School in LaPorte City, IA, Class of 2004, Dustin's journey was marked by a colorful tapestry of experiences and connections. He began his career at Fazoli's, moving on to Martin Brothers, where he dedicated several years before embarking on a fulfilling role as a route driver for Schwan's. Dustin found true joy in this position, relishing the opportunity to meet new people and reconnect with old friends. When Schwan's permanently closed its doors, Dustin embraced the change as an opportunity to explore new business ventures, proving his resilience and adaptability. Dustin's life was enriched by his passions. He was a devoted Miami Dolphins fan, cherishing the moments spent at games with his father. Music was the rhythm of his life, and he found happiness attending concerts with friends. Whether playing disc golf, tossing a frisbee with his nephew, or enjoying a playful round of goofy golf, Dustin's zest for life was infectious. A man of many talents, Dustin was an exceptionally creative and talented artist. His paintings, especially portraits, were treasured gifts that captured unforgettable memories for those lucky enough to receive them. He was, without a doubt, one of a kind—intelligent, opinionated, and true to himself. Dustin's legacy is the countless lives he touched, for he was loved by many and his impact was immeasurable. Dustin is survived by his loving parents, Dan and Karie Beebe; his sister, Tiffany Olmstead (Curt); his treasured niece, Tayler Beebe-Cayler; nephews, Brayden and Brody Tharp; his dear aunts, Debi Slaver and Sarah Kruger; uncles, Monte Slaver (Charlotte), Trevor, and Ryan Kruger; and several cousins. His "Ray of Sunshine," Bree, and his faithful dog, Charlie, also mourn his passing. He was predeceased by his Grandpa Ben Beebe, Grandma Linda George, and great-grandparents Bernerd and Carrie Kruger. Dustin’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A celebration of Dustin's life will be held on June 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Rose Garden at The Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, located at 1927 E Orange Rd, Waterloo, IA 50701.
