Dr. Linda Joyce Collins

Dr. Linda J. Smith Collins took the flesh on August 13, 2026. She was born February 24, 1964 in Pineville, LA, daughter of Johnson Spears Sr. and Charlie Mae Smith Thornton. She is survived by her husband John Collins, her daughter Tangi Tahia Romas, her Son Roosevelt Scott Jr. and his wife Naomi, Stepchildren LaKeisha Thompson and Xavier Thompson. Her loving grandkids AuBee Scott, McKenzie Scott, Alayah Romas, Gabrielle Romas, Xavier Thompson, Xamaria Thompson, Xaylen Thompson, Xalavian Lavalais, and Xavion Lavalais. Linda worked for many years as a pharmacy tech at LaCour's Pharmacy in Simmesport, La. She's survived by her siblings Jerry Franklin(Arthur) of Simmesport, La., Catherine Caulfield of Mansura, La., Edward Spears(Joyce) of Dallas, Tx., Jeffery Smith(Florence) of Marksville, La., Barbara Smith(Michael) of Batchelor, La., James Thornton(Jasmine) of Zachary, La. She's preceded in death by her father Johnson Spears Sr. and her mother Charlie Mae Thornton. Linda Collins has been a faithful member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research of Lettsworth, La since March 12, 1995. She has been a licensed minister since March 2, 1997. She will be remembered for her deep faith, kindness, and love she shared as a wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt, and friend to many. She loved her RED and she is looking forward to her Rosy future.
