Angela was the cherished daughter of Margrett Sampson, and she was preceded in death by her stepfather, George Williams; her brother-in-law, J.T. Morton; and her nephew, Jayson T. Morton. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving mother, Margrett Sampson-Williams; her devoted children, Dr. Jireh Johnson and her husband, Justin Wright, and Javier Johnson; her sisters, Wanda Hayes and her husband, Damen, and GeorgElla Williams; and her brother, Michael George Williams. She also leaves behind her dear nieces and nephews, Monica Gillespie and her husband, Marcus, Amarah Williams, Damen Hayes, Jr. and his wife, Larkesha, Tearrel Shy-Shedrick, and Jeron Morton, along with her great-nephews, Logan, Liam, and Landon Gillespie, and a host of extended family and friends who were deeply touched by her presence. Angela's journey through life was marked by her deep commitment to her family and her faith. On September 1, 1984, she married Exavier Johnson, and together they built a loving home where Angela devoted herself to raising their children with wisdom, love, and unwavering faith. Professionally, Angela excelled as an accountant, last working at Wesley Woods, yet her true calling lay in her ministry and community service. A product of the Bronzeville area of Chicago, Angela's educational journey began at Reavis Elementary School and Walter H. Dyett Middle School, followed by her graduation from Paul Lawrence Dunbar Vocational High School, where she majored in Business. Her passion for God led her to earn a Bachelor’s of Biblical Studies and a Doctorate of Divinity and Christian Counseling from Interfaith University. She further enriched her knowledge at Beulah Heights Bible College, becoming a certified Parakletos Counselor and being ordained into Ministry in 1999. Angela's heart for service was most evident in her work with prison ministries, mission trips, and myriad volunteer activities. In 2001, she founded Reconciliation House, a ministry dedicated to healing and restoring lives through God’s love. Her work as Founder and CEO touched countless lives, offering a sanctuary for women and families to reconnect with their faith and rebuild their lives. Angela's personal passions were as vibrant as her professional ones. She found solace and joy by the water, often enjoying the tranquility of a cruise or the serene beauty of a beach. Her vibrant spirit and love for life were rooted in her profound faith. Angela was known for spreading love, offering encouragement, and being a steadfast peacemaker grounded in truth. Her life was a living testament to her belief in faithfully following God's plan.
