For over thirty years, Doug safely operated his trusty Kenworths, providing for his family, and developing close relationships with other drivers. On June 12, 1976, Doug married the love of his life, Kathleen, in a beautiful ceremony in Coldwater, Michigan. Their marriage spanned over fifty years, during which they raised two wonderful children, Jason and Jamie. Doug's eyes would light up with pride whenever he spoke of his children and grandsons, Jacob and Sam, who were the joy of his life. A man of many talents, Doug was known for his quick wit, infectious humor, and creative storytelling. He was always willing to lend a hand to any endeavor or challenge his friends and family were facing. His interests in sports and current events kept him engaged with the world, and he was always eager to discuss the latest news or his childrens' accomplishments.
