Doug Roy Harrison, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed peacefully in his sleep on August 21, 2026. Born on May 10, 1956, in Hope, Arkansas, Doug lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service. Doug was the cherished son of Mary and Roy Harrison. He grew up embracing strong family values, which he carried throughout his life. In 1998, Doug married Stacey Parker, and together they shared 28 wonderful years, building a life rich in love and happiness. Doug's family was always at the heart of his existence, and he was the proud father to Elena Oliver and Crissy Harrison. His legacy is further carried on by his four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Doug dedicated 30 years of his professional life as a skilled boilermaker, a testament to his hardworking and diligent nature. Beyond his career, Doug served honorably in the US military, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his country. An avid outdoorsman, Doug found peace and joy in nature. His love for the great outdoors was a passion he eagerly shared with family and friends, creating lasting memories on every adventure. Doug was a devoted member of the Springdale Baptist Church, where he found a community of faith and fellowship. His beliefs were a guiding light in his life, and he served his community with kindness and compassion. A service to honor Doug's life will be held on August 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the Springdale Baptist Church, located at 2515 FM 2327, Queen City, TX. The family finds comfort in knowing that Doug has gone home to rest with the Lord and invites all who knew him to join in celebrating his remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Doug's memory, as a tribute to his generous spirit and love for helping others. Doug Roy Harrison will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and kindness he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
