Dorothy was the cherished daughter of the late Gladys and Harry Yarborough, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience that she carried throughout her life. She was also predeceased by her beloved sister, Linda Yarborough, and her dear brothers, Grady and Tommie Yarborough. The bond they shared remains an enduring testament to the strength of family ties.
Dot's journey began in the schools of Cumberland County, where her natural curiosity and love for learning were nurtured and encouraged. She carried these traits into adulthood, always seeking knowledge and sharing her insights with those around her.
Dorothy's legacy lives on through her adored daughter, Melissa Cooper, and her treasured grandchildren, Cameron Johnson, Mariah Cooper, and Leland Cooper. Dot's love also extended to her nieces, Angela Sindab, Charlene Stone, and Laura Campbell, and her nephew, Paul Yarborough, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
