December 23, 1930 — July 27, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Mae Berry, a cherished soul who graced this world on December 23, 1930, in Yazoo, Mississippi. Dorothy departed peacefully from this life on July 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply loved. Born to Frank Pink and Rubie Bell Howard Pink, Dorothy was a beacon of strength and compassion. Her life was a tapestry woven with the threads of family, resilience, and unwavering faith. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her cherished sons Willie Berry and Albert Berry, her dear James Pink, and her sister Mattie Emma Boyett. Nonetheless, her legacy is carried forward by a loving family who will forever hold her in their hearts. Dorothy's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She is survived by her devoted children: Howard Berry Jr. of Nashville, TN; Bobby Berry and his wife Eileen of Lansing, MI; daughters Rubie Lee Pink Celestin and her husband Glenn of Jamaica Queens, NY; Lois Luster and Linda Woods, both of Lansing, MI; and Juanita E. Campbell and her husband Walter of Hephzibah, GA. Her siblings, Frank Pink and his wife Denita, James Pink and his wife Joanne, and her sister Jenne C Pink, also mourn her passing. Dorothy's joy was further multiplied by her adoration for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her home was always open, her table always welcoming, and her laughter a melody that will echo in the hearts of those who knew her. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the B.A. Williams Memorial Chapel, located at 2945 Old Tobacco Road. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose spirit will forever light our paths. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, honoring Dorothy's generous spirit and her commitment to making the world a better place. As Dorothy would wish, let us remember her with smiles, echoing the joy she brought into our lives and cherishing the happy memories she leaves behind. May the tears of those who grieve be comforted by the warmth of her memory, as we celebrate a life full of laughter, love, and sunny days.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Dorothy Mae Berry welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
