Dorothy Jackson

February 17, 1934 — August 22, 2026

Dorothy "Dottie" Jackson, born on February 17, 1934, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to Fredrick and Francis Jackson, passed away on August 22, 2026. Her life was a testament to the profound love and devotion she held for her family and friends. Dottie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose legacy of love and strength will continue through the lives of her surviving children: Jessica Jackson, Keith Jackson, and Gaylord Jackson. She was predeceased by her parents, her son Charles Jackson, and her two daughters, Terri and Kim Jackson. Her memory will also be cherished by her 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched deeply with her warmth and humor. For over 25 years, Dorothy worked diligently as a pressor in various dry cleaning services. Her commitment to her work was evident, but it was her role as the backbone of her family that truly defined her. Known for her humor and wittiness, Dottie had a remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she dedicated herself to their care with unwavering devotion. Dottie was a humble woman whose love was endless and unselfish. She was patient and forgiving, even when faced with adversity, embodying the true essence of a mother's love. As her family so beautifully expressed, "A mother's love is something that no one can explain... it is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may." A service to remember and celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on September 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Judkins Colonial Home, located at 428 W 4th St, Plainfield, NJ 07060. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, in honor of Dottie's generous spirit. Dorothy Jackson will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a loving, devoted, and cherished member of her family and community. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
