Dorothy Cecile Denomme

January 7, 1939 — February 26, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Cecile Denomme, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Dorothy left this world on February 26, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom that will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. Born on January 7, 1939, in the serene town of River Canard, Dorothy was the beloved daughter of Leo Beaudoin and Olive (Grondin). Her upbringing in this close-knit community instilled in her the values of compassion, resilience, and unwavering support for those around her. Dorothy was a bright light in the lives of many, known for her friendly, outgoing nature and a wealth of knowledge that she generously shared with others. Dorothy dedicated her life to education, working as a school teacher for nearly her entire career until her well-deserved retirement. Her passion for teaching and her genuine care for her students left an indelible mark on countless young minds. Dorothy’s classroom was not just a place of learning but a haven of encouragement and inspiration for all who entered. Outside of her professional life, Dorothy found joy and solace in gardening. Her green thumb and love for nature were evident in the vibrant blooms and lush greenery that surrounded her home. Tending to her garden was a metaphor for how she lived her life—nurturing, patient, and always finding beauty in growth. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Megan Denomme, who passed away on February 13, 2024. Her loss was deeply felt, but Dorothy’s strength and resilience inspired her family to continue embracing life with hope and love. She is survived by her devoted sons, Marc Denomme (Debra) and Danny, as well as her daughter, Michelle Snyder. Her spirit and wisdom live on through her cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, and Wyatt, each carrying forward her legacy of kindness and curiosity. Dorothy is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who fondly remember her as a guiding presence in their lives. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Father Larry Brunet for his unwavering support during this difficult time. His kindness and guidance have been a source of comfort and strength. In honor of Dorothy’s life and her battle with cancer, donations can be made to the Cancer Society, an organization close to her heart. Through their efforts, may we continue to find hope and healing for those affected by this disease. Dorothy’s family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the beautiful memories they shared. Though she is no longer with us, Dorothy’s legacy of love, laughter, and learning will forever remain in our hearts. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us as we carry forward the lessons she taught us through her words and actions. May Dorothy Cecile Denomme rest in peace, knowing that she made the world a better place and that her memory will be cherished eternally.
