Dornese Marion Bradley
September 4, 1963 — July 9, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dornese, who departed this world on July 9, 2026, peacefully at her home after bravely battling a devastating illness. Born on September 4, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland, Dornese graced this earth with her presence for 62 beautiful years.
Dornese was the third daughter and sixth child of the late Charles Jerry Bradley, Sr. and Irene Rosena Tates. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved brothers, Charles, Jr., Marvin, and Anthony. Her legacy of love and resilience continues through her surviving family, including her devoted daughters, Charlene Johnson, Darlene (Kevin, Sr.) Miller, and Shauntell Johnson. She was the adored grandmother of Kashae, Kevin, Jr., and Kennedy Miller; Kayla Maylor, Kirsten Brown, and Kelsie Johnson. Dornese also leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren, Kaiden Miller and Kayla Young, who brought immense joy to her life.
She is also survived by her brother, Allen Bradley, and her three sisters, Charlene Drewery, Margaret (Cecil) Adams, and Towanda Bradley. Her family extends to her dear aunts, Nettie Reid and Mary Dent, and her uncle, Kenneth Dent, Sr. Dornese was also blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends, all of whom will miss her deeply.
Dornese was a proud product of the Baltimore City Public School System, having attended Johnston Square Elementary, Lombard Middle, and Southern High School. She furthered her education by obtaining a Safe Food Serve Certificate, displaying her dedication to her professional pursuits.
Her career was a testament to her commitment to serving others, having worked as a dietary aide at Bayview Hospital and an environmental services aide at Towson University. Dornese carried out her duties with diligence and grace, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dornese was known for her vivacious spirit and zest for life. An avid dancer, she could always be found on the dance floor whenever music played, her movements embodying the joy she felt within. Her love for seafood, especially crabs, was only matched by her love for her family, whom she cherished above all else.
A doting grandmother, Dornese poured her heart into caring for and nurturing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary of love and laughter, always kept spotless, reflecting her exceptional housekeeping skills. Her warmth and quick wit were evident to all who knew her, and her radiant smile could brighten the darkest of days.
As we bid farewell to Dornese, we celebrate a life well-lived, a woman whose love, strength, and compassion left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
