It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Paterson, a mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully at her home on March 3, 2026. Born on July 13, 1951, in the lush landscapes of Kentucky. Doris was the cherished daughter of Harlie Clayton and Gracie Vanderpool. She was preceded in death by her dear brothers, Billy Clayton and Harlie Gene Vanderpool, and her beloved husband, Edwin Paterson, Doris is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Nowacki and her husband Bob, and Carolyn Burns and her husband Bobby. grandson, Cody Devin. Her love for animals was well known. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the shelter in her honor. A celebration of Doris's life will take place on March 18, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Camp Nelson, located at 6980 Danville Road, Nicholasville, KY. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to join us in remembering her.
