In Loving Memory of Doris Anne Bosley
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Doris Anne Bosley. Born on February 23, 1962, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, Doris graced this world with her presence for 64 incredible years, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She peacefully departed on May 6, 2026, at the Oil City Healthcare & Rehabilitation Centre, embraced by the love and prayers of her family.
Doris was the cherished daughter of John 'Willie' and Anita Knight, who instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and faith. These values guided her life and were evident in her every action. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Larry Bosley, her loving parents, and her dear brothers, Stephen and David Knight. The reunion of their souls in the hereafter is a source of comfort to those she leaves behind.
Doris found her soulmate in Larry Bosley, whom she married in 1990 in Columbus, Georgia. Together, they were blessed with two children, Gerald (Amber) Knight and Anita Bosley, who were the center of Doris's world. As a homemaker, she poured her heart and soul into creating a nurturing and loving environment for her family. Her selflessness extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of neighbors and close friends who often became like family under Doris's care.
A graduate of Oil City High School, Doris's education was marked by an innate curiosity and a passion for learning, qualities she continued to foster throughout her life. Her most profound education, however, came from her unwavering faith and her belief in the power of prayer and miracles. Doris's deep spirituality was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both joyful and challenging times.
Known for her carefree and spunky spirit, Doris brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her vibrant personality was infectious, and she was a beacon of positivity and hope. Even as health issues began to challenge her, she remained a source of inspiration and strength to those around her.
Doris leaves behind her beloved son, Gerald, and his wife Amber, her daughter Anita, her brothers Thomas and James Knight, and her sisters Patricia (Gary) Diggs and Kathy (Don Bouchard) Knight. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
In honoring Doris's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, an organization close to her heart, in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be made through their website at https://diabetes.org/.
Doris will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished sister, and a loyal friend. Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. As we say goodbye, we take solace in knowing that she is now resting in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones, in the loving arms of the Lord she so deeply cherished.
Rest in peace, beloved Doris. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit and love will live on in our hearts forever.
