April 22, 1978 — March 17, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Dorcas Elisa Bala Gregorio, who left us on March 17, 2026. Born on April 22, 1978, in the vibrant and culturally rich land of Guatemala, Dorcas was a beacon of joy and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life, though not without challenges, was a testament to resilience, love, and the unwavering strength of family. Dorcas was the cherished daughter of Eleodoro Bala Mes and the late Celia Gregorio Lopez, who instilled in her the values of kindness, compassion, and dedication. She was preceded in death by her dear mother, Celia, and her beloved sister, Adelina Morales, whose memories she held close to her heart throughout her life. Dorcas's journey through life was marked by her incredible work ethic and determination. She spent many years as a dedicated line worker in an auto manufacturing factory, where her diligence and attention to detail earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Her hard work and commitment did not go unnoticed, and she eventually rose to the position of supervisor. Her leadership was defined by empathy and understanding, as she always strived to uplift and support those around her. Outside of her professional life, Dorcas was a woman of many passions. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time in the great outdoors, where she felt a deep connection to nature, or indulging in her love for makeup, which she regarded as a form of personal expression and creativity. However, her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family. Her daughters, Yenifer Melisa Bala, Katerin D. Bala Gregorio, and Aranza L. Quiej Bala, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them and her precious grandchildren. Dorcas was a woman of exceptional character—happy, lovable, caring, and incredibly intelligent. Her warmth and generosity were felt by everyone she encountered, and she had a remarkable ability to make others feel valued and cared for. Her infectious smile and kind spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who crossed her path. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through her surviving family members, including her devoted father, Eleodoro Bala Mes, her daughters, and her cherished grandchildren. They will forever hold her memory close, drawing strength from the love and lessons she imparted. As we gather to celebrate the life of Dorcas Elisa Bala Gregorio, we are reminded of the profound impact she had on so many lives. Though she is no longer with us in person, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the enduring bonds that connect us all. In honoring Dorcas's memory, let us strive to embody the qualities she held dear—kindness, compassion, and the unwavering belief in the goodness of others.
