It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Dora Louise LaDuke on January 16, 2026. Born on October 12, 1957, in Brooklyn, NY, Dora's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Dora was welcomed into the world by her biological parents, Gustave and Irene Manning Kolloff, and later became the beloved daughter of her adoptive parents, James and Ethel Clougher. Life's journey brought both joy and sorrow, as she was predeceased by her adoptive brothers Jimmy and Billy Clougher, her ex-husbands Carl Formanek and George LaDuke, her sister-in-law Lena Clougher, her brothers-in-law William and Roy LaDuke, her son David Formanek, her son-in-law Jonathan Luis, Jr., and her grandson Nicolas Quinones. She is survived by her loving adoptive brother Robert Clougher, her devoted daughter Tanya Luis, and her cherished grandchildren KayLee Wassmer and Evelyn Luis. Dora's educational journey began at Brentwood High School in New York and continued with a remarkable pursuit of knowledge and skills. She obtained her Water Treatment Plant Licenses C, B, and A through the city of Boynton Beach, earned her CNA license in 2003 and later her LPN license in December 2004 from Indian River State College. Her passion for learning led her to achieve a Master Gardener's license from the University of Florida after building her home in Palm Bay, a Notary Public license in June 2023, and ordination as a Minister and Doctor of Metaphysics and Divinity from Universal Life Church Ministries in September 2021. Her professional career began at Este Lauder, but it was her 25 years of service with the City of Boynton Beach where she truly shined, rising from a position as a secretary to Assistant Deputy Director of the Utilities Department for both east and west water treatment plants. There, she met the love of her life, George LaDuke, and spent the next 29 years together in bliss. After suffering a massive heart attack at the age of 43, Dora took a brief hiatus to focus on her family before returning to school to become a CNA and later an LPN, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. Dora's life was enriched by her passions and hobbies. She loved spending time with friends and family, tending to her garden, crocheting blankets, watching soap operas, reading books and enjoying a good hamburgers. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and nourishment, and she delighted in feeding those she loved. An adventurer at heart, she enjoyed exploring new places, swimming, and spending time with her loyal dog, Ginger. Known for her caring heart, Dora was a giver, a confidante, and a caretaker. She was the glue that held her family together, a beacon of strength and love. Always donating to charities and people in need, always praying for others and reading her bible, always striving to do better and work hard to provide for her family, always being there to listen and lend a helping hand. Her memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched. A service to celebrate Dora's life will be held on October 3, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at City Church, located at 344 Emerson Dr NW, Palm Bay, FL 32907. Dora believed in supporting all kinds of charities, so in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Dora's honor. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Palm Bay Regional Hospital for their compassion and care, as well as to all the friends and family who have provided unwavering support during this difficult time. Dora's spirit and legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Dora Louise LaDuke welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
