Dora Jaime

June 23, 1946 — May 9, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dora Jaime, who departed this world on May 9, 2026, at the age of 79. Dora passed away peacefully at home in the loving company of her family, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the place where her life's journey first began on June 23, 1946. Dora was a cherished daughter to Gerardo and Margarita V. Martinez, who instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and love. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Luis and Gerardo Martinez Jr., and her sister Gloria Ortiz, all of whom she held dear and whose memories she carried with grace and affection throughout her life. For 61 beautiful years, Dora shared her life with her devoted husband, Ramiro Jaime Sr., who was her rock and lifelong companion. Together, they built a family that was the center of her world. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Ramiro Jaime Jr. and his wife Rosalinda, Jerry Jaime, Jose Jaime Sr. and his wife Mariah, and her daughter Jennifer Jaime. Dora also opened her heart and home to her sons Gilbert and Gabriel, whom she lovingly raised. A doting grandmother, she adored her grandchildren: Joshua and his wife Julissa, Alyssa and her partner Madelynn, Jose Jr., Kaitlyn, Ariana, Jax, and Jason. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren Lilianna, Jaekeb, and Daniel, and was further blessed with great-great-grandchildren King and Ayva, each of whom brought her endless joy and pride. Dora's career was marked by her dedication and care for others. She worked for 13 years at Haggar, but her true calling led her to a career change, where she found great fulfillment in cooking hot meals for children at Red Barn Private School. Dora's nurturing spirit and culinary talents nourished countless young lives, leaving a lasting impact that will be fondly remembered. A woman of many talents, Dora had a passion for cooking home-cooked meals, which she lovingly prepared for her family and dear friends. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and connection, where laughter and stories were shared over her delicious dishes. Dora also found joy in sewing and took delight in caring for her cherished birds, whose songs brought music to her heart. Dora Jaime's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. Her gentle spirit, unwavering strength, and generous heart touched all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and an unyielding devotion to her family. Dora's spirit will continue to guide us, and her memory will forever be a blessing. A private service will be held to honor Dora's life, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate her memory and the indelible mark she left on us all. We invite those who knew and loved Dora to hold her in their hearts as we say goodbye to a remarkable woman who gave us so much. May she rest in peace, forever surrounded by the love she so freely gave.
