Donte Lamont Dale

January 23, 1981 — April 28, 2026

It is with profound sadness and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Donte Lamont Dale, affectionately known as "Donnie" to his beloved family and countless friends. Donte, born on January 23, 1981, in Salisbury, Maryland, departed this world peacefully on April 28, 2026, at Anchorage Nursing Home. Donte was a beacon of joy and warmth, known for his infectious smile that could light up any room. His laughter and exuberance left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Educated at Snow Hill High School, Donte embraced life with passion and an unyielding zest, embracing every moment and every person with genuine kindness and love. Donte was born to Stephanie Dale Moore and the late Troy Bennett, but it was his maternal grandmother, Patsy Dale, who played a pivotal role in raising him, shaping Donte into the compassionate and loving individual he became. His family was his heart, and he carried the legacy of love and care instilled by his grandmother throughout his life. He is survived by his devoted mother, Stephanie Dale Moore, and her husband Roger of Salisbury, MD, who stood by him as a source of strength and love. His cherished daughters, Dai'Ondra Dale and Dia'Onna Dale of Salisbury, MD, and Tyliyah Collins of Snow Hill, MD, will forever remember their father's unwavering love and support. Donte's memory will also be preserved by his grandmother, Patsy Dale of Salisbury, MD, and his paternal grandparents, Maggie Dale and Riley of Virginia. Donte is also survived by his supportive siblings, brother Patrick Butler and his wife Kalisha of Pennsylvania, and sister Tiffany Moore of Salisbury, MD. His uncle Tyrone Dale and his wife Tiffany of Salisbury, MD, and aunt Tracey Dale White and her husband Ronald of Snow Hill, MD, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, will continue to honor Donte's legacy of love and laughter. He was preceded in death by his son, Amria Conway, his maternal grandparents, Gertrude Dale and Riley Shockley, and his brother, Stefon Haggins, who have welcomed him into eternal peace. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Donte's life on May 8, 2026, at Ebenzer Methodist Church, where his spirit will be remembered and cherished. As we gather to honor Donte, let us carry forth the love and joy he gave freely, in the hope that we might spread it in our world, just as he did in his. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Donte's memory to a charity of your choice, to continue his legacy of kindness and compassion. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the beautiful memories and the legacy of love that Donte leaves behind. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of light and love that will guide us until we meet again.
