After graduating from what he fondly referred to as the "USMC of hard knocks," he went on to serve his nation honorably as a Marine in Vietnam. His courage and commitment during those years were a testament to his character, and he carried the values of service and sacrifice with him throughout his life. One of Donny's greatest joys was the time he spent on the water, embracing his passion for fishing and crab fishing. His mechanical engineering prowess was evident in his ability to fix and create, always working with his hands and his heart. Those who knew Donny will remember his infectious laughter and the twinkle in his eye whenever he shared stories or caught the perfect fish. Donny shared his life with his cherished partner, Patricia Stevens, whose unwavering support and companionship were sources of great comfort and happiness.
