Donna Marie Parent

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Marie Parent, who departed this world on September 4, 2026, at the age of 66. Donna passed away peacefully at CVPH, enveloped by the love and warmth of her cherished family. Born on December 5, 1959, in Plattsburgh, NY, she was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Donna was the beloved daughter of the late James and Exie Macey. She was predeceased by her dear brother, Steven Macey, and her fiancé, David King, who was the love of her life. Her legacy of kindness and joy lives on through her children, David (affectionately known as Buddy) and Melinda Parent Dubuque, and her adored grandchildren, Sophia, Caden, and Jaxon. She is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Carson, Angela Macy, Cathy Ero, Diane Hendrie, Jimmy Macey, Larry Macey, David Macey, and Russell Macey, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Donna was a woman whose smile could brighten even the darkest room. She wore her heart on her sleeve, and her love was abundant and unconditional. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she never hesitated to offer her help to those in need. Her love for her family was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Donna had a passion for singing and enjoyed visiting with friends, spreading joy and laughter wherever she went. A celebration of Donna's life will be held on September 12, 2026, at 10:00 in the morning at Hamilton Funeral Home, located at 294 Mannix Rd, Peru, NY 12972. Her family invites all who knew her to come and honor the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to a charity of their choice in Donna's memory. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, presence, and support during this difficult time of loss and bereavement. Donna Marie Parent will be missed dearly, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
