It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Donna Lee Hall Evans, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on April 15, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, Missouri. Born on May 20, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Donna was the cherished daughter of Leland Douglas Meineke and Mable Geraldine Meineke.
Donna's journey through life was marked by love, resilience, and an enduring commitment to her family and community. She graduated from Anamosa High School in 1972, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life enriched by both personal and professional accomplishments.
In November 1972, Donna married Robert L. Hall Sr., and together they raised three children: Robert L. Hall Jr., the late Ryan Lee Hall, and Ramsey Lynn (Hall) Stoyanov. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated herself to nurturing their dreams with unwavering support and boundless love. In April of 1989, Donna found love once more and married John Edward Evans, expanding her family to include James Robert Harris, John Edward Evans Jr., and Erin Amelia Evans. Her marriage to John was a testament to partnership and devotion, lasting until his passing in December 2006.
A dedicated professional, Donna worked as an Operations Supervisor for Valley Enterprises in Las Vegas, Nevada, for 20 years. Her work ethic and leadership were admired by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Beyond her career, Donna was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in the art of baking, filling her home with the comforting aroma of sweet breads, cinnamon rolls, and cookies, much to the delight of family and friends. Her sewing and quilting skills were renowned, and she lovingly created countless pieces of clothing and quilts, often donating baby blankets and lap-quilts to local hospitals and senior centers. Donna's selflessness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of warmth and kindness.
Donna is survived by her son, Robert L. Hall Jr., and his wife Aysha; her daughter, Ramsey Stoyanov, and her husband Louis; her sisters, Mary Thomas and Diane Hollingshead; and her grandchildren Madelynn Hall, Kadan Hall, Riley Hall, Graycen Hall, Jean Hall, Louis Stoyanov IV, Zachary Stoyanov, and Jacob Stoyanov. She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchild, Beau Hall, and the anticipation of a soon-to-arrive grandchild. Her family was her greatest treasure, and her love for them was boundless.
Preceded in death by her father, Leland Meineke; her mother, Mable (Gerry); her sister, Judy Hanken; her husband, John Evans; and her son, Ryan Hall, Donna is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff of Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness during Donna's final moments.
A private funeral service will be held to honor Donna's life and legacy. Her family and close friends will gather to celebrate the incredible woman who touched their lives so deeply.
Donna Lee Hall Evans will be remembered for her grace, her generosity, and her unwavering love for her family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, a testament to a life beautifully lived and dearly cherished.
