Donna Kelley

May 20, 1956 — April 9, 2026

With heavy hearts and profound respect, we announce the passing of Donna Kelley, a woman whose courage and strength were as remarkable as her love for family and friends. Donna's journey on this earth concluded on April 9, 2026, at her cherished home, surrounded by the warmth and love of her beloved family. She was 69 years old. Born on May 20, 1956, in the vibrant city of Providence, Rhode Island, Donna was the treasured daughter of Salvatore Marasco and Yvonne (Prevey) Penn. Her early years in Providence were filled with laughter and adventure, shared with her parents and her sisters, Sandy and Mary. Tragically, she was predeceased by her parents and her sister Sandy, whose memories she held dear throughout her life. In April 1976, Donna married her soulmate, Gilbert Kelley, in a beautiful ceremony in San Gabriel, California. Their union lasted an inspiring 49 years, a testament to their enduring love and shared dreams. Together, they built a family that became the cornerstone of Donna's life. She is survived by her devoted husband Gil, her three loving children, Melissa (married to Dan), Jessica (married to Dave), and Jeff, as well as her cherished grandson, Noah. Her sister Mary also survives her, along with countless friends who became family over the years. Donna's life was enriched by her passions and interests, which she shared generously with those around her. She was an ardent fan of the New York Jets, finding joy in every game they played. Her love for puzzles was a metaphor for her life; she found beauty in bringing pieces together to form a complete picture. Her kitchen was a haven where she crafted her legendary fudge, a treat she delighted in sharing with everyone she knew. Beyond her talents and hobbies, Donna was known for her indomitable spirit. She faced life's challenges with bravery and grace, especially during her battle with cancer. Her resilience was a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who loved her dearly. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who reached out during Donna's health journey over the last five years. Your support and kindness meant the world to Donna and provided immense comfort to her family. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Donna's life. For those who wish to honor her memory, donations can be made to Villa Esperanza, an organization close to her heart, through their donation page at Villa Esperanza Donation Page. As we say goodbye to Donna, we remember a life lived with love, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, dear Donna. Your journey may have ended, but your love remains, forever guiding us forward.
