Donna was born on October 13, 1959, in Huntington, New York, to Gerald and Catherine Michelini, who instilled in her the values of compassion, kindness, and resilience that she would carry throughout her life.
Donna was a woman of immense warmth and grace, known for her caring and loving nature. On June 3, 1979, Donna married the love of her life, Joseph Scardino. Their marriage was a beautiful tapestry woven with love and laughter, spanning 39 wonderful years until Joseph's passing. Together, they created a life filled with cherished memories and shared adventures, a testament to their enduring partnership.
She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter Katherine, and her sisters Karen and Lisa, along with countless friends who became family over the years. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Donna's life on June 14, 2026, at Moloneys Hauppauge Funeral Home, located at 840 Wheeler Road. The service will begin at 12:00 PM, ending at 6 PM, offering an opportunity for those who loved her to come together in remembrance and gratitude for the light she brought into their lives. Funeral services will be on June 15, 2026 at St Thomas More Roman Catholic Church at 9:45 AM.
